Contrail is an E.U. research project (IP project #FP7-IST-257438 under the FP7 program). It aims at developing and supporting a full-featured open-source Cloud computing platform. Unlike many other platforms, Contrail will comprise a full Platform-as-a-Service layer, and support for Service-Level Agreements. The Globule group is part of the consortium, and is working on ConPaaS — an integrated Platform-as-a-service environment for elastic Cloud applications.
